Fenix reborn
Okay, you guessed it. The website is not "ICTAL" in spite of residing in the same domain (www.ictal.org). Why?
"Puerto Rico: Etüdes" was born out of the ashes of ICTAL.ORG. After having taken some 'vacations' from the site, it was rebuilt january 2012. In this second incarnation, all of the old recordings were posted in its own archive (audio only), reinitiating the adventure. During a year and a half, we continued compiling news and posting analyses. Incidentally, just the other day I noticed that he actual growth of visitors during this time, which reached 1.67 million, had actually surpassed the rate at which page views had been accumulated between 2002 and 2008, of 1.8 million. Yet, inevitably today perhaps, the website suffered various cybernetic attacks. We were able to fend off some of these, but the one that occurred April 14, 2013 ended up being 'too much'.
We could have placed another replica, but instead I decided to take a different turn. Since "Puerto Rico" as a theme took up so much of our attention, we ventured into a new routine focusing strongly on the topic. This change had the benefits of giving us a more focused attention, as well as better targeting our principal audience.
Although I cannot reveal when there will be another change, I can state that this focus will not last much longer.

Okay, lo adivinaron. El portal no es 'ICTAL' a pesar de residir en el mismo dominio (www.ictal.org). ¿Por qué?
"Puerto Rico, Etüdes" nace sobre las cenizas de ICTAL.ORG. Luego de haber tomado unas 'vacaciones' del portal, se reconstruyo para eso de enero del 2012. En su segunda encarnación, todas las viejas grabaciones fueron puestas en un archivo (de su audio solamente) y reinicamos la aventura. Durante año y medio, seguimos nuestro proceso de recopilación y análisis. Incidentalmente, solo el otro día me percate que el crecimiento en términos de visitantes durante este periodo, que llego a unos 1.67 millones, sobrepaso su crecimiento durante el largo interinato entre el 2002 y el 2008, de 1.8 millones. Pero, inevitablemente hoy día quizás, el portal sufrió varios ataques cibernéticas. Pudimos defendernos en contra de algunos, pero el que ocurrió el 14 de abril de 2013 resulto ser 'demasiado'.
Pudimos haber puesto otra replica, pero decidí tomar un turno diferente. Como el elemento de Puerto Rico tomaba nuestra atención, decidimos desviarnos de nuestra rutina cotidiana para enfocarnos estrictamente en el tema. Tuvo el beneficio de una concentración mas enfocada, al igual que enfocarnos en nuestra audiencia principal.
Aunque no puedo revelar cuando va a haber otro cambio, si puedo decir que el enfoque no durara mucho tiempo mas.
