¡Gobierno de Puerto Rico: A LA VENTA YA ! ¡AVANCE ANTES DE QUE SE TERMINE!
"¡Lo vendo rico, frío y barato!" "¡Lo vendo rico, frío y barato!" "Guarapo de...<ejem> digo... <ejem> ...gobierno de Puerto Rico". Tal como parece, se esta realizando una venta a precio sumamente módico. ¡Avance antes de que se agoten los ejemplares! De acuerdo a los noticiarios del día, parece que grandes corporaciones están comprando líderes gubernamentales a precios de raja tabla. Y que ganga. El Presidente de la Cámara de Representantes, José Aponte, esta reclamando una ley de incentivos a corporaciones de 'alto capital'. Minerva Rivera, Directora de la oficina que regula seguros de salud (Administración de Seguros de Salud o ASES), se opone a un plan de seguro universal. PRIDCO bajo Boris Jaskille promueve a Microsoft a los pequeños negocios, con el sueño de vender al exterior. "¡AH !", usted pregunta, "¿que hay de malo en eso?" Bueno, a simple vista podemos observar varias cosas. 1) Las compañías farmacéuticas realizan BILLONES en ganancias anuales, y parece algo abusivo que un gobierno que estuvo al borde de la quiebra le regale más dinero. ¿Yá se les olvidaron cuando, hace unos meses, los bonos de Puerto Rico fueron degradados por la agencia Moodys?) 2) La directora Rivera alega que acordaría al plan universal si se realiza un aumento en el pago por el gobierno de Puerto Rico que, para recordarles, casi se fue 'en quiebra' hace unos meses. Los triste es que un plan universal reduciría el costo por paciente, no lo aumentaría; lo que significaría excesivas ganancias al costo del gobierno y todos los puertorriqueños. 3) ¿Que hace PRIDCO promoviendo a Microsoft como si fuese un vendedor de carros usados? Microsoft, como las farmacéuticas, realiza BILLONES cada año, y poco necesita que una entidad gubernamental la promueva al seleccionarlo con una justificación tan patentemente obvia. Microsoft tiene un casi-monopolio de los sistemas operativos de computadoras personales, y no necesita la ayuda de nadie. (Todo lo contrario.) Pena da como líderes gubernamentales tan fácilmente se venden a si mismos y al pueblo de Puerto Rico. Ciertamente la esclavitud no ha desaparecido en el siglo veinte. ¿Donde están los esclavos rebeldes?

"Cold, rich, and cheap!" "Cold, rich, and cheap!" "Ice cream of... <ejem>...I mean...<ejem>... government of Puerto Rico. Just as it appears, there is fantastic sale going on at very low prices. Hurry while supplies last! According to the local newspapers, it appears that large corporations are buying governmental leaders a prices that can't be beat. And what a deal they are getting. The President of the House of Representatives, Jose Aponte, is clamoring for a law of industrial incentives for capital intensive industries. Minerva Rivera, Director of the office regulating the health insurance industry (Administración de Seguros de Salud o ASES) has declared her opposition to a universal health coverage plan. PRICO under Boris Jaskille is promoting Microsoft to small businesses (most local businesses in PR are small scale), with the dream of exporting their goods to the outside world. "AH!" you might ask.. "What is so bad about that?" Well, superficial glance will shows a number of troubling issues. 1) Pharmaceutical companies have BILLIONS in yearly profits, and it seems somewhat abusive that a government that is going broke should give away more money. Remember when Puerto Rican bonds were degraded by Moodys? 2) The health insurance director alleges that she would agree to a universal plan if there is an increase in the part payed by the local government, which to remind the reader, almost 'went broke' a few months ago. The sad fact is that a universal plan would reduce the cost per-patient, rather than increase it; which only means excessive profits at the cost of the government and people of Puerto Rico. 3) What in the world is PRIDCO doing promoting Microsoft as if it were a used car salesman? Microsoft, like the pharmaceutical companies, make BILLIONS each year, and little is it in need of a governmental agency promoting it by selecting it under a patently obvious justification. Microsoft has a near monopoly of PC operating system, and little does it need the help of anybody. (Just the opposite.) It is sad now governmental leaders are so easily selling themselves and their citizens. It is sad to see that slavery has not disappeared in the twentieth century. Where are the rebel slaves?
